About
Live the Questions
“Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves, like locked rooms and like books that are now written in a very foreign tongue. Do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given you because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps you will then gradually, without noticing it, live along some distant day into the answer.”
― Rainer Maria Rilke
I formed Live the Questions as a therapy practice with a mission to embrace the sentiment of this quote by the poet Rilke. Too often, we fall into the trap of treating life like a problem to be solved and overlook the possibility of truly living our questions, feeling enlivened by their mystery and finding places of rest and perspective within uncertainty itself. My goal in working with you will be to help empower you to step forward in life with self-confidence, trust, and hope––but not from a place of urgency; we will also practice slowing down, looking around, and being more fully present, both to this moment and to our continued evolution. We will work to improve clarity of communication and connection, both with self and other, but we will also learn to appreciate the unknowns––the mysteries of our partners or even of our own minds––with a genuine love for these questions themselves.

Background
Areas of Expertise
My educational and personal backgrounds have equipped me with a keen awareness of the many forms and intersections of trauma, anxiety, grief, and longing. I firmly believe that issues of attachment and trauma affect us all deeply, in different ways, and it’s very important to me to create and maintain a space of trust and safety with you––in whatever ways, and at whatever pace, is truly best for you.

I have extensive experience particularly with OCD and other anxiety disorders, substance use, and PTSD as well as complex, relational trauma. The issues my clients tend to struggle with include low motivation, self-harm and suicidal ideation, grief and loss, difficulty with boundaries and assertive self-expression, social anxiety, panic, perfectionism, overthinking, intrusive thoughts or compulsive behaviors, addiction, social isolation, relationship distress or dissatisfaction, attachment issues, chronic distrust of self or others, and general existential displeasure or numbness.

I have always been eager to learn and have grown and evolved through my own personal experiences of grief and healing, radical acceptance, and the call to lean into what scares me––all challenges I strive to take on every day.
